Estate Planning at Every Stage

Robyn Hicks-Guinn is the managing attorney at Hicks-Guinn Law, PLLC, a law firm serving clients statewide. Her service in the legal profession began during her years as a law student at North Carolina Central University where she spearheaded numerous projects with Legal Aid of North Carolina and Conservation Trust of North Carolina to host several estate planning workshops for minority farmers and marginalized communities in North Carolina. Her experience with estate planning and administration began in her teenage years after her father lost his battle with lung cancer and she learned first-hand the importance of estate planning and the procedures of estate administration. After graduating from law school, she served as a law clerk to The Honorable Cheri Beasley on the North Carolina Supreme Court and as the Trial Court Administrator for the 7th Prosecutorial District under Senior Resident Judges Toby Fitch and Quentin Sumner. At Hicks-Guinn Law, her service to the community and in the profession continues as she assists individuals and small business owners in estate planning, estate administration(probate), business succession planning and corporate counsel.   Attorney Hicks-Guinn finds it important to teach minority and disenfranchised communities about the importance of estate planning, probate and guardianships. To do so, she gives regular presentations to churches, non-profit organizations, sororities, fraternities and community groups. She also lectures attorneys by teaching continuing legal education courses. She remains active in her community, serving on numerous committees and boards in the State of North Carolina. In her spare time, Attorney Hicks-Guinn enjoys competing in triathlons, and spending time with her husband, Lambert, sons Robert and Henry and dog Rajah.
